Fortnite How to Tame Wolf

Wolves are a new addition to Fortnite Battle Royale. They can be found roaming the map in packs, and they’ll attack you on sight. You’ll usually have to kill them or build your way out of a fight – both of which will alert any nearby enemies of your presence. However, there’s also a third option – if you have the right items, you can tame a wolf and make it your best buddy. If you’re wondering how this works, this guide will show you how to tame a wolf in Fortnite.

Where to find wolves

They can probably appear anywhere on the map, but we’ve seen them the most in the savanna. The areas with yellowed grass around the Spire and Boney Burbs are where we we’re most often accosted by packs of wolves, so start your search there.

Wolf taming

Before you begin, make sure you have meat. You cannot tame a wolf without meat. Once you have it, start roaming the countryside looking for wolves. A pack of them should attack you soon enough. Before you can tame one, you’ll need to dispose of the others.

Once you’ve shot the surplus wolves, start throwing meat at the remaining one. You can also trap it by building found walls around it quickly. You have to put some distance between you two for it to go after the meat – if you don’t, it’ll just keep chasing you, since you’re meat too.

Once it starts chomping down on the meat, approach it and you’ll see a button prompt. Hold that button and in a few seconds, you’ll have your very own wolf pet. The meat acts as a pacifier – it distracts the wolf, gives it something to gnaw on, and makes it unable to attack you for a short period of time after consuming it.
