Outriders Crossplay - How to Enable Crossplay
Outriders has crossplay, but it’s not enabled by default. At least in the demo, that is. This feature allows you to play with friends from other platforms, but it’s experimental, so it’s turned off by default. You can flick the switch and turn it on if you want, but there might be issues. It’s a small price to pay for being able to play with your pals, though. If you’re not clear on what you need to do, this guide will show you how to enable crossplay in Outriders.
How to turn on crossplay in Outriders?
It’s quite simple really. All you need to do is head into the settings menu, open up the gameplay tab (all the way on the left) and scroll down to the bottom. You’ll see a switch labeled “Enable Crossplay” – change it to on, and you’re good to go.
This will allow you to team up with players from different platforms – which means you could be playing on your PC with your buddy Brian who has a Playstation, and a rando on an Xbox. Yes, it works in matchmaking too, so you’re not limited to using it with people you know.
As I’ve already mentioned, it’s still experimental, but I have no idea what kind of bumps in the road you could realistically expect. But you’ve been warned – and no matter how aggravating any bugs you run into might be, they’re probably a better alternative to pestering your buddy Brian to get a gaming PC, or buying a brand new Playstation yourself.
If you experience any issues while using the crossplay feature, let us know in the comments so we can update the guide. We’ll try it out ourselves as well, so expect more info in the near future.
Try crossplay with xbox one x and the series x…..one x will eventually get kicked out of the party because it can’t keep up. Wish it was the same as division where the slow one can eventually catch up instead of waiting
