Valheim Feathers – Best Way to Farm Feathers

Where to find feathers

If you’re any good with a bow, birds could be your best source of feathers. Wait for them to land before shooting – you’ll waste ammo if you shoot at them while they’re in the air. You can get 2-4 feathers from each downed bird. It’s best to hunt them at night – their white plumage makes them easier to spot in the dark than during the day.

If you don’t want to go after birds, you can rely on getting arrows from chests. Not all dungeon chests have arrows, but if you save up the good ones you find this way for the boss fights, and use the low-budget ones for everything else, you’ll never have to hunt birds. You can also get feathers randomly when chopping down trees, presumably from the nests whose support you’re destroying.

How to farm feathers

If you’ve set your mind on birdicide, there are efficient ways of ensuring you’ll find enough birds to be worth the effort. When you see a storm approaching, run to the coast – seagulls hate the storms, and they’ll land en masse when they see one coming. This makes them easy pickings – if you don’t spook them away by getting too close.

If you know of another good method of farming feathers, feel free to share it in the comments.
