Who to Visit First in Cyberpunk 2077 The Ride Quest – Maelstrom or Evelyn Parker

When you choose who to visit in The Ride quest in Cyberpunk 2077, Maelstrom or the client, aka Evelyn Parker, you should know that the choice does not matter much in the long run. You’ll play both quests eventually; the only thing you’re picking here is the order in which you’ll do them. If you choose to visit Maelstrom first, you’ll get the quest called The Pickup. That’s the one where you go get the Flathead bot. If, on the other hand, you go see Evelyn, you’ll get the quest called The Information, where you’ll basically learn what the Flathead is for.

Of course, both of the quests have their particularities. For example, there are a ton of choices that you’ll have during The Pickup, including the option to save Brick, a Maelstrom member that’s fallen out of grace. Meanwhile, during The Information, you’ll learn how to do braindance analysis, and even have the chance to turn on either Dex or Evelyn. It’s all very in the spirit of Cyberpunk as I know it, aka the pen and paper RPG from way back.

Now, if you’re asking us which quest you should go with first, the Maelstrom or Parker one, in the Cyberpunk 2077 The Ride quest, in our honest opinion, it absolutely does not matter. If you’re up for action, go for Maelstrom and The Pickup. If, instead, you wanna relax a little at a gentlemen’s club and do some weird tech stuff, go for Evelyn and The Information. Either way, you’ll have to do both. Good luck, choom.

For example, if you don’t know how to remove the virus from the chip and find the Militech Datashard correct cack sequence we can help. Or, can you save Jackie in Cyberpunk 2077? We'll also help with your first Cyberpunk 2077 braindance during the Information quest.

“It absolutely does not matter. If you’re up for action, go for Maelstrom and The Pickup”
What an odd sentence. This suddenly suggests a difference after all, which with a “deeper” interpretation might be merely temporary, chronological. Just speak clearly, don’t try to be cool.

More importantly, Dex’s first question when you hop into his car… Later in the game Johnny said “Remember when Dex asked you X and you said Y? Wrong answer!” Can you make a guide explaining the decision consequences around Johnny’s reaction to how you answer this question? It’s not mentioned in the official guide nor anywhere I’ve found online. Most “guides” simply scratch the surface and explain Dex’s immediate reaction, but it’s far more reaching than that first conversation with Dex. Johnny somehow knows V’s memory from this point in the game and does bring it up.
