How to End Flight in MSFS 2020

Ending a flight in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is not as straightforward as you might think. After you’ve landed your plane and turned off the engines, there might still be a prompt to turn off the engine. A lot of folks are getting around this issue by quitting to menu after each flight – flight times and locations are still recorded, so it’s not much of a difference really. But it’s not how it’s supposed to work. If you’re wondering how to end flight in Flight Simulator 2020, this guide will show you exactly that.

How to end flight in Flight Simulator 2020

After you’ve landed your plane and taxied to the parking spot on the airport, you’ll first have to shut off the engine. This doesn’t end the flight, though. You’ll also have to turn off aux power (the battery). If the flight still doesn’t end after that, you can turn on autopilot and it will perform the necessary actions to end the flight.

There also seems to be bug which stops people from ending a flight if the ATC breaks during landing. It’s a minor issue, compared to what others are experiencing – crashes, freezes and being unable to download the game – but it’s still annoying. Missing out on the end flight screen isn’t a disaster – all the stats are saved even when you quit to menu after landing – but some people would like a sense of closure that screen provides.

If you’re having trouble with other parts of the game, we’ve also written about the controls, how to play multiplayer with friends, how to use active pause, and how to refuel during bush missions. We’re going to keep playing Flight Simulator 2020, and we’ll write about any other issues that might crop up, so stay tuned for more.

    Hello
Unfortunately, none of the above steps solved my problem!
And the plane did not shut down.
    Aircraft model: A300-330

I think it will shut down completely with another plane.
Maybe it’s because of the plane bug!
    I do not know
    It’s very surprising

    Hi
This is a not-so-minor issue for me.
I do play along with NeoFlight activated to play bushtrip missions.
After landing, taxiing and shutting both engines and batteries on Cessna 157, my flight stil not ends. The consequence of that, is that if i go back to the menu to create a new nav plan and start a new flight, as soon as i get in the plane, i can see that my navlog has not been updated to the new route and still displays waypoints of the previous one… All i can do is close the entire game and relaunch it between EACH GODDAM flights…
Could not find any workaround so far…

Thanks, this helped me out a lot, took me a moment to look for the switch to the battery on the Cessna 208B. Found it, flipped the switch. Mission finally ends.
