Ghost of Tsushima Red Armor Dye - Ghost, Samurai, Sakai Clan
Red armor dyes in Ghost of Tsushima are dyes of different names that you can get in the game. The majority of the different red armor colors come from merchants, after you unlock the specific armor. However, some of them, like the Ghost Armor and Samurai Clan Armor red dyes require you to do extra legwork. So, in our Ghost of Tsushima Red Armor Dye – Ghost, Samurai, Sakai Clan guide, we’ll show you how to get the red color for every armor that has one.
Red Dye Ghost Armor Vow of Vengeance
To get the Ghost Armor red dye, called Vow of Vengeance, you have to make a specific choice at the very end of the game. Obviously, I’m not going to spoil the ending here, so don’t worry. If you want to know more about it, check out our Ghost of Tsushima Endings guide. All I’m going to tell you is, if you want a red dye Ghost Armor, you have to make the R2 choice at the end. That’s as far as I’m willing to go; you have to discover what happens for yourself, if you haven’t already.
Red Dye Samurai Clan Armor Season of War
The red armor dye for the Samurai Clan armor in Ghost of Tsushima, aka Seasons of War, comes from completing Masako Tale 8 – The Conspirator in Act 2. In case you didn’t know, there’s a series of side quests that you can do with / for Masako. As with the Ghost Armor situation, I am not going to spoil what happens in these quests. Suffice it to say that there are no mysteries in terms of how to complete them. Just follow the quest markers and do what the game tells you to. Soon enough, the Seasons of War dye will be yours, as well as the Charm of Dual Destruction II.
Red Dye Sakai Clan Armor Blood of the Clan
The Sakai Clan armor red dye, called Blood of the Clan, comes from the merchants. The only catch is that you have to push through the game all the way until Act II. During said act, you’ll have to complete the Ghosts from the Past main quest, at the end of which you get the Sakai Clan armor. Once you get that, the Blood of the Clan dye will unlock at the merchant.
Red Dye Traveler’s Attire Armor Fiery Searcher
The Fiery Searcher red armor dye for the Traveler’s Attire Armor also comes from the merchant, and is one of the first red colors that you can buy. After all, the Traveler’s Attire is one of the first outfits you’ll get in the game. So, just approach the first merchant and purchase Fiery Searcher.
Red Dye Tadayori’s Armor Autumn Victory
The Autumn Victory red dye for Tadayori’s Armor only unlocks at the merchant after you’ve completed the Legend of Tadayori mythic tale. You start this mission by visiting the musician in Tsutsu, and from there, things are relatively simple. After you get the armor, visit the merchant and get the dye.
Red Dye Ronin Attire Armor True Seeker & Lethal Aristocrat
The Ronin Attire armor in Ghost of Tsushima has two different red dyes, True Seeker and Lethal Aristocrat. Yes, both of these are available at the merchant, but the difference is availability. The True Seeker dye is available from the very first merchant. For Lethal Aristocrat, you’re going to have to push further through the game, until Act 2.
Red Dye Kensei Armor Ominous Dawn
The Ominous Dawn Kensei Armor red dye unlocks at the merchant when you manage to unlock said armor through the Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale. For more info on that, check out our Kensei Armor Six Blades of Kojiro guide. Long story short, you have to talk with Yamato in Umugi Cove first. Then, you have to fight six different Straw Hats in tense duels across Toyotama, and the Kensei Armor is the reward you get.
Red Dye Gosaku’s Armor Sunrise Dominion
Last, but not least, we have the Sunrise Dominion red dye for Gosaku’s Armor. As is the case with several other armors, you can’t purchase the red dye until you unlock the armor by completing the Unbreakable Gosaku Mythic Tale.
