Ghost of Tsushima Flute – How to Play & Change Melody – How to Change Weather?

To play the flute and change the weather in Ghost of Tsushima, all you have to do is swipe left on the touch pad. Playing the flute counts as a gesture, which you perform by swiping across the pads in different directions. For playing the flute, it’s swiping to the left. After you play the melody, you’re going to change the weather; that comes in very handy in many situations.

At the beginning of the game, the only song you’ll know is The Sun’s Warm Embrace, which, as you can imagine, makes the weather nice and clear. However, if you go ahead and collect Singing Crickets, you can unlock three more songs: Lament of the Storm, Shadows in the Fog, and A Chorus of Raindrops. Singing Crickets are all over the map. So, yeah, they’re not exactly easy to find. If you’re having problems finding them, check out our Ghost of Tsushima Singing Crickets guide.

Once you have more than one song you can play, go into the menu and select the Gear tab. Select Accessories, then proceed to the flute-playing icon. From there, you can pick whichever song you want. Then, play the flute to change the weather into rainy, or stormy, or foggy, depending on your needs. If you’ve made a stealthy build, the fog-calling song is going to be one of your best friends in the game, for example. You’ll figure it out with a bit of experimenting.

Can You Change Time of Day in Ghost of Tsushima

No, you cannot change the time of day in Ghost of Tsushima. At least, not on command. You can’t change the time of day using the flute; that’s only for changing the weather. Also, the game doesn’t feature any kind of sleep or rest mechanic that lets you wind the clock forward. The in-game clock ticks at its own pace. That said, there is one way to brute force the change of time: fast travel really far away. You don’t have any particular control over it, but it is the only way to change the time of day in Ghost of Tsushima.
