Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 Gets Release Date
Koji Igarashi unveiled Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 just last week. Today, the game has received an official release date. Sure, this is an 8-bit video game, a sequel to a title that was imagined as a short but sweet companion for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. But still, we’ve expected for the game to be released much later. As it stands, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will arrive on July 10. Aside from the release date, the new trailer shows some new details about the upcoming title.
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 Comes With 2 Player Co-Op And Other Goodies
.The new trailer confirms that Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will arrive with a 2 player co-op multiplayer. Each payer will be able to choose any of the four characters found in the sequel, but there’s more. The sequel also includes characters from the other two Bloodstained games. Aside from Zangetsu, Dominique, Robert, and Hachi, you will also be able to play as Miriam Alfred and Gebel. You can read about the original four characters in our coverage of the games’ first trailer.
As for the game itself, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is a sequel to the original. The first game was a companion game for the excellent Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The game has that old-school, 8-bit visual identity, something you would expect to play on the original NES. Visual style makes it more Castlevania that Curse of the Moon, which was designed as a spiritual successor to Castlevania games from the PS One era. Players pick one of the (now) seven unique characters and embark on a journey that includes tons of demons and tons of jumping, slashing, and avoiding attacks. You can play the game starting July 10 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
