EA Launches A Ton Of Games On Steam, EA Access To Follow Later This Year

EA was the first third party publisher to remove its games from Steam. EA made the move years ago, making EA games exclusives to the publisher’s digital storefront, Origin, at least on PC. And today, the publisher added more than 25 games on the largest digital gaming store, with more to come.

The list of games is pretty long and it includes some excellent titles. EA Access Coming This Summer, Command & Conquer Remastered Collection Releases With Steam Workshop Support

 EA and Steam

We’ve noticed that heavy hitters such as The Sims 4, Battlefield 5, FIFA 20, or Apex Legends are still absent. EA did state that games such as Apex Legends and Battlefield 5 will land on Steam sometime during 2020 so it seems that the publisher will wait for its EA Access subscription to land before moving the big guns to the largest digital storefronts for games.

Yes, you will be able to subscribe to EA Access directly from Steam and play every game that’s part of the subscription. The service has a tentative Summer 2020 date without more details at the moment. Interestingly, the post didn’t make clear whether the EA Access Premier subscription will also land on Steam.

Finally, the long-awaited Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is releasing today and it will arrive with day one Steam Workshop support. That means mods, and probably lots of them. This is great news showing Steam is still a lucrative market despite Valve’s higher cut compared to Epic Games Store.
