Terraria New Vanity Items - Vanity Contest Winner Sets
There was recently a vanity item contest in the Terraria forums. A bunch of people designed vanity item sets, and the rest of the community voted on their favorites. The three winners were supposed to be added to the game for all to enjoy. In the end, the developers decided to add two more, since they loved the designes so much. Since the Journey’s End update is live now, a number of people have been wondering how to get new vanity items in Terraria, and that’s exactly what this guide is going to show you.
How to get new vanity items?
You can’t. At least for now. Although the vanity contest winners have been chosen, and the final update has gone live, the sets aren’t actually in the game yet. They’re going to be added in a tiny patch in the near future, so you’ll just have to give it some more time. Once they’re in, they’re probably going to be available from the clothier’s shop.
You can see what the winning designs look here, and we’re going to describe them below, if you don’t have the time to click the link and check out the pictures yourself. First place went to Plaguebringer’s Robes by SodaHunter. I guess that’s the one thing that’s been on everyone’s mind lately. It’s a plain robe with a fur collar and an antelope skull as a helmet, with blue flames surrounding the head. Second place went to the Wandering Ronin by crowflux, an outfit that consists of a kimono, a wide conical straw hat and a pair of wooden sandals. In third place, we have the Timeless Traveler by DisRicardo, an eldritch horror in all but name – there’s horns, tentacles, blinking eyes where there should be none, and more.
The additional two, the ones picked by the developers are the Floret Protector by yikescloud, a hazmat suit filled with soil, with a flower instead of a head in the helmet, and Capricorn by R-MK, a white, gold and turquoise costume with a ram’s head helmet and a mermaid tail instead of legs.
