Red Dead Redemption 2 Mod Lets You Ride Wild Animals

There’s a new mod out for Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’s a special one. Going by the simple, yet lovely name of Pig Rider, this mod allows you to ride regular-sized bears and oversized mountain lions, wolves, and pigs. This mod has been made by JulioNIB, known for a large number of GTA V mods.

Have you ever been out and about the town of Valentine, or riding through the wilderness of Red Dead Redemption 2, thinking to yourself: “Man, this horse sure is lame. I wish I could ride a comically-oversized mountain lion, or wolf, or pig.” You haven’t? Of course not, but I bet you’re thinking about it now. Well, luckily for you, famous modder JulioNIB has you covered with the Pig Rider mod. As you can see in the image above, it is truly a glorious, if admittedly slightly low-res, sight.

Now, I chose to illustrate this article with the mountain lion because it’s eye-catching. However, the mod’s name being Pig Rider is no accident. That is, without a doubt, the coolest aspect of the mod. Sure, anybody can be cool riding a puma, or wolf, or even a bear; it takes stones to come into town riding a giant pig. Maybe it’ll be free at some point later, but not right now.

Besides, surely something this awesome is worth a couple of bucks. The only issue is, again, that the wolf, pig, and mountain lion are just blown-up versions of the game assets, so they don’t look great. The bear is fine, since there’s no reason to increase its size. That said, who cares what the resolution is? You’re riding a giant pig!
