Death Stranding PC Port Launch Date Delayed to July
Another delay that has been caused by the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19. Because Kojima Productions had to close their doors temporarily due to the pandemic and the work-from-home orders in Japan, the PC version of Death Stranding is not going to come out in early June. Instead, you’ll have to wait until July 14th; which, all things considered, isn’t that bad.
As is the case with many studios and other businesses at the moment, Kojima Productions has temporarily closed its doors. The work-from-home orders that are in place pretty much around the world are currently in effect in Japan, too. So, as you can assume, this has impacted the production of the PC port of Death Stranding. What that means is that the port will not meet the projected June 2nd launch date. The new release date, according to the official Kojima Productions Twitter, will be July 14th. It’ll be available on Steam and the Epic Store.
When Death Stranding does come out on PC, it will also include support for high frame-rates, as well as compatibility with ultra-wide monitors. Also, it’s going to come with the photo mode right out of the box. Console players had to wait for several months to get it, and you won’t. One more point for the PC master race, as I’m sure somebody annoying has commented somewhere.
And, well, that’s where we are right now. Hopefully, this whole COVID-19 thing won’t last for much longer and won’t cause any further delays. And, you know, stop killing and maiming people; that’d be nice, too. Anyways, once you do get your mitts on the PC version of the game, and get stuck somewhere, check out our lengthy list of Death Stranding guides to help you out.
