Fortnite Medal Punchcard & Medals Progression Chapter 2 Season 1
Medal Punchcard in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 is a new game mechanic that involves Medals, which are essentially daily tasks. You complete the Fortnite Medals & Punchcard by performing certain tasks, such as killing enemies, opening chests, playing matches, etc. However, the system isn’t exactly transparent, so some players have been confused as to how the Fortnite Chapter 2 Medals work, when do they reset, etc. In our Fortnite Medal Punchcard & Medals Progression Chapter 2 Season 1, we’re gonna clear some of the mysteries up by explaining how the medal punchcard systems works in Fortnite and when they reset.
How Do Medal Punchcard & Medal Progression Work in Fortnite Chapter 2?
The new Medal Punchcard system and Medal progression mechanic in Fortnite Chapter 2 is pretty simple. Basically, as we’ve mentioned, they are kinda like daily tasks, and they’re conveniently separated into eight categories, depending on the in-game action they’re connected to. For example, Scavenger is opening Chests, Supply Drops, and Llamas, Battle is killing enemies, Survivor is, well, surviving, and so on.
Now, as you’ve probably noticed already, the Medals scale up to several levels. For example, Survivor requires you to survive to 75 remaining, then 50 remaining, then 25 remaining, etc. By completing these challenges, you can level up all the given medals up to a certain point, after which you have to wait for the Medal Punchcard to reset (more on that in a bit). You can max out almost all of the medals by simply playing the game and having relatively average competence. And even if you don’t, it doesn’t matter that much.
Also important to note, the Medal progress kinda carries over from match to match. I say kinda because, if you’ve, say, gotten a Battle medal for killing three people, that medal won’t go away after you die. However, your progress towards the next medal does reset from match to match. So, if you score those three kills and die, and the next medal is five kills, you’ll have to score five kills in that next match, not just two.
When Does Fortnite Medal Punchcard Reset?
As far as we can tell, the Medal Punchard in Fortnite Chapter 2 resets every 24 hours. Specifically, they should reset at 6 AM Pacific Time / 9 AM Easter Time / 2 PM BST / 3 PM Central European. Now, we have noticed yesterday that the medals seem to have reset twice in the span of a few hours. That was most likely a bug, though. It makes much more sense that they would refresh once every day. That way, you can both earn a ton of XP, but without breaking the game entirely. And yes, you really can earn a whole bunch of XP by completing these.
