Wasteland 3 PC System Requirements Revealed

Here’s what you’ll need to have under the hood in order to run Wasteland 3, both barely and comfortably:

Minimum requirements:
OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (64 bit)
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K or equivalent
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or Radeon HD 7970
HDD: 55 GB available space

Recommended specs:
OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (64 bit)
CPU: Intel i5-4590 equivalent
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 970/AMD 290 equivalent
HDD: 55 GB available space

Pretty standard stuff, that there. If you scroll down, you’ll see a two-minute video showing off a particular mission. There’s some free-form driving through snow covered landscapes, a distress call from a fellow ranger, and of course, some good, old fashioned biffing. The game allows you to position your squad in secret and fire the first shot in order to start combat. It’s a pretty good deal, not just because you get the first shot for free, but also because it allows you to set up an ambush, having your units safely in cover while the enemies are out in the open.

Once the first shot has been fired, the game jumps into turn-based mode, with a grid, action points and all that jazz. It’s pretty standard fare afterwards, apart from the fact that your massive truck can also take part in combat. We didn’t get to see how devastating the truck is in a stand-off, nor how tanky it really is – presumably it can die like any other squad member.
