Borderlands 3 Highlights Planet Eden-6 in New Promo

Gearbox has released some more promo material for Borderlands 3. It highlights one of the planets that we’ll be visiting, called Eden-6. It’s a swamp planet, full of greenery and terrifying monsters, such as the Jabbers and Saurians. It’s a wild planet, where civilization has barely a foothold. And the Children of the Vault aren’t doing anything to help.

Eden-6 seems like it’s gonna be one of the more beautiful, if vicious, worlds we’ll visit in Borderlands 3. Or, as the Borderlands website describes it: “Eden-6 is covered by lush greenery and stagnant waters, dotted with occasional settlements and the rusted hulks of crashed spaceships.” The “backwater swampland of a planet” is home to the Jakobs clan, and will include colorful NPCs, such as Wainwright Jakobs, Lady Aurelia Hammerlock, and her brother, Sir Hammerlock. And, of course, let’s not forget the Children of the Vault, because they’re also very much there.

Now, we would be remiss to not mention the wildlife of Eden-6. The two main threats will be the Jabbers and the Saurians. The jabbers are semi-sentient, ape-like creatures that wield primitive spears (hence the name, presumably), and, according to the short promo on the Borderlands Twitter, they also tend to fling their, uh, byproducts at you, which is fun. The Saurians, on the other hand, are horrifying, dinosaur-like monstrosities, full of teeth, claws, and horns. Oh, and some of them breathe fire, because a T-Rex is just not threatening enough by default.

The release date for Borderlands 3 is Friday, September 13th, 2019. You can already pick it up via pre-order, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. As you might already know, the PC version will be an Epic Store exclusive for the first six months post-launch, so keep that in mind. Oh, and let’s not forget, it’ll also be out on Google Stadia, so there’s that.
