Cyberpunk 2077 Will Feature a Concert, Like in Witcher 3

According to an interview that Marcin Przybyłowicz and Paweł Sasko of CD Projekt Red gave to a Polish rock radio station, Cyberpunk 2077 is going to feature an in-game concert. They did something similar in The Witcher 3 with Priscilla’s concert. In Cyberpunk, though, it’s gonna be larger in scale. After all, we already know they have an in-game band called SAMURAI, that a real band is providing music for. Why not have them play a show?

Cyberpunk 2077 Will Feature a Concert, Like in Witcher 3

One of the more interesting moments in The Witcher 3 was the opportunity to sit down and listen to a concert performed by the bard Priscilla. It let you relax, and breathe in the atmosphere; telling a moving tale of two lovers, which was obviously about Geralt and Yennefer. Before that, Sacred 2 had a side quest where you retrieved instruments for the in-game version of power metal legends Blind Guardian. The reward was watching an in-game concert, where you got to hear a then-unreleased new song. Basically, in-game concerts can be fun stuff, unless you’re Final Fantasy.

All this is to say that, according to Reddit user Credo93, Cyberpunk 2077 is also going to have a concert. Kinda like the Priscilla thing, but on a larger scale. And that makes perfect sense to me. The main side character is a digital ghost of a rock star. Hell, CDPR even brought in a real punk band to make songs for the in-game band SAMURAI. So, yeah; Cyberpunk 2077 is perfect ground for a concert. It has all the building blocks ready to go. I do look forward to seeing SAMURAI live, even though I didn’t like that one song they released so far.

Cyberpunk 2077 will come out on April 16th, 2020. It’ll be out on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and it’s already up for pre-orders, if you’re into that sort of thing. I’m not gonna king-shame. When it comes to PC, you can get it directly from CD Projekt Red via GOG.com.
