Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Version Referenced in Social Club Code

There seems to be a PC port of the Red Dead Redemption 2 at some point. At least, a little bit of code on Rockstar’s Social Club website appears to point to that happening. The code makes mention of Accomplishments for RDR2 PC. And, given that it’d be a very sensible decision money-wise for the devs, I’d wager to say that this is happening.

At this point, I don’t have to tell you what an absolute powerhouse Red Dead Redemption 2 has turned out to be. The gaming community has still to shut up about it, even though it came out in October of last year. And, well, according to most people, the game absolutely deserves the praise it’s getting. The one thing that remains strange about it is that Rockstar still haven’t made a PC version of the game. True, the previous games from the Red Dead franchise never made it to PC, but it would make all the business sense in the world to change that now.

Well, if the findings of Twitter user JakoMako51 are anything to go by, it seems like Rockstar has seen the light. JakoMako did some snoopig around the code of Rockstar’s Social Club website, and found an interesting little bit of code, which reads: RDR2_PC_Accomplishments:”Accomplishments”. This has gotten the whole Red Dead Redemption 2 community up on their feet. Because, this little snippet seems to imply that, after all, RDR2 will eventually find its way to PC, and that the port might already be in the works.

Now, with things like these, there’s always the chance that people are reading into it too far. The code might be for something else, and it’s all just a colossal coincidence. However, I really don’t think that is the case. If for no other reason, then because a PC port of Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to make Rockstar so very much money.
