Harry Potter WU Which Hogwarts House to Pick - Gryffindor, Slytherin
What house to pick in Harry Potter Wizards Unite has been the question that many people have been asking. After all, the question of which Hogwarts house you belong in is a huge matter of pride for dedicated Potter fans. But will it affect the game in any particular way? Well, for better or for worse, the devs have made the choice easier than you might expect. To show you what I mean, let’s try and figure out which Hogwarts house to choose in Harry Potter WU.
Which Hogwarts House to Choose in Harry Potter Wizards Unite – Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw?
Which house you’ll pick in Harry Potter Wizards Unite – Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin – is pretty much completely up to your preference. The choice is entirely cosmetic; at least, as the game is now. That might change, but right now, which house you belong to won’t change the gameplay whatsoever. So basically, the choice of your Hogwarts house boils down to which one you already pledge allegiance to (where my Ravenclaws at?). Or barring, that, whoever’s color scheme you prefer.
Now, you would’ve been forgiven for expecting that the choice of house would play a bit of a bigger role. You know, like every house has some kind of bonus or perk. That way, there might be more incentive to work with other people from different houses. But, that seems to be more the domain of Professions. It’s a shame, but then again, I kinda see the reasoning. The idea is that different players approach the game on a more or less equal footing. That’s important in games like these, especially for players that don’t live in very populated areas.
Still, though, I really wish that the house you choose played more of a role in the gameplay. Perhaps that might come along later in the game’s life cycle. Harry Potter Wizards Unite launches in the UK and US on Friday, June 21st, on iOS and Android. Other parts of the world (barring Australia and New Zealand, where it’s already out) will have to remain patient for an undisclosed amount of time.
