Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Gameplay Trailer Released
Paradox Interactive have released a new trailer for Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2. It reveals the game’s launch window, as well as a ton of gameplay footage. The gameplay portion of the trailer shows off some action, a chase scene, interactions with NPCs, and options to manipulate your way through different factions.
Fans of White Wolf’s Vampire: The Masquerade (or, probably more likely, fans of the first Bloodlines) have been clamoring for more info on Bloodlines 2. And hopefully get some more footage of gameplay. And, wouldn’t you know it, the new E3 trailer for Bloodlines 2 delivers on both counts. It shows a bunch of gameplay footage, and we also got the game’s launch window. JUdiging by the video, Bloodlines 2 is shaping up to be the perfect sequel. And, yes, I am absolutely hyped as hell to play this, thanks for asking.
First off, the first-person action looks great; both in terms of the gun play and using your vampiric powers. In the first Bloodlines, I preferred to stick to the shadows and use powers from afar, and it seems that Bloodlines 2 is going to have that, too. More importantly, though; once the hunt for the target is over, you see a dialogue tree pop up. And, as you’d expect, having higher levels in certain abilities unlock extra dialogue options. This was my second go-to problem-solving method, and a staple of any good RPG.
Also, I like the design on the Nosferatu Thinblood; he’s already irreparably damaged looks-wise, but still more “normal” than a full-fledged Nosferatu. Cool little details. Another great moment is showing you how you can manipulate your way through the different vampiric political factions.
Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 doesn’t have an exact launch date. The trailer does, as I’ve mentioned, give us a release window. It seems that the game is coming out in Q1 of 2020. It’s a long wait, to be sure; plus, that’ll put it into direct competition with Cyberpunk 2077. That’s gonna be fun and brutal for my wallet.
