Mortal Kombat 11 Shao Kahn - How to Unlock
Shao Kahn is one of the characters in Mortal Kombat 11. The arch-villain from the old times is only available to those who’ve preordered MK11, so if you haven’t done that, you’ll have to hope he’s added as a DLC character later on. This guide will show you how to unlock Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat 11.
How to unlock Shao Kahn in MK11?
First of all, make sure you’ve preordered the game – Shao Kahn is only available to people who get MK11 before launch. If you’re playing on PC, Steam will automatically download all the DLC you own – which includes the preorder bonus character.
If you’re on console, the method of activation depends on how you bought the game. If you have the physical (boxed) edition, you should look for a code printed out on a piece of paper that’s included in the box. You can’t redeem it in the game – instead, you’ll have to go to the console’s dashboard or store, and look for the option to redeem it there. Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to make sure it’s downloaded.
If you’ve bought the digital version, you just need to double check if the console downloaded it along with the game itself. Look for it either in the store or your library, and if it’s marked as installed, you’re good to go. Shao Kahn will be available in the roster.
And that’s pretty much it. If you’ve missed the chance to preorder the game, you’ll have to buy the character separately once it becomes available. There’s no telling how much it could cost, but we’re pretty certain it won’t be less than $5. The developers might allow you to buy it using Koins, or unlock it by performing a certain task in the game, but that’s just wishful thinking.

I got the premium digitally and it won’t let me get the fighter pass I go to the store and it says it in add one but it isn’t

Thank you Arshy. I did get an email from Amazon shortly after preordering mk11. The email gave me a promotional code but was very vague about why or what it was for. So I deleted the email. Then, upon shipping mk11 to me, they sent the email again. Luckily, this time I kept it. When we played the game, we couldn’t figure out how to unlock shao khan, so we googled it, came here, found out that we needed a code from the receipt. figured out what the Amazon promotional code was for.
I pre-ordered this on Amazon.com as well and did not get the shell come on character unlocked either. I decided to check my email to see if there was a separate code to unlock Shao Khan only to find an email from Amazon saying that they are refunding the pre-order price difference for the game which amounted to about $11. I guess depending on where you pre-ordered moral combat 11 premium edition you might not have gotten all of the pre-order DLC. I was able to unlock frost in story mode but I guess I will put six bucks that I paid to get the pre-order DLC towards unlocking Shao Khan.
I pre-ordered it at GameStop and there is no code to unlock him

If u bought it on Amazon, then they sent you an email labeled “Promotional Code”. The Kombat Pack code comes on a piece of paper inside the packaging. Hope this helps!
The code is on ur receipt I juss got shao Kahn and I thought I had to pay look on the receipt hope no one threw it away
For those complaining about Shao Khan not being part of the Kombat Pass or upset you didn’t him with your $100 version. It is because he was a PRE-ORDER BONUS. This means if you did not PRE-ORDER digitally or from Game Stop, you have to pay for him.
I pre-ordered the game from Best Buy, & never got him.
I had this problem because I preordered on the GameStop website and when I picked the game up they forgot to select preorder so the code would print on my receipt. If you have proof that you preordered you can call up GameStop with your receipt info and they can give you a code over the phone. They did for me! You’re welcome. 🙂

hi. I’m having a slight issue in that I pre ordered Shao Kahn, and properly downloaded the Kombat Pack on my PS4, including several skins and 6 characters. I’m assuming one is supposed to be Shao Kahn, but he’s not available for me to select. his box is there but his face is shadowed, and I can see him in my Kustomize tab, but I can’t select him. I’ve checked everything but I can’t find any way to fix this. if anyone else had this issue can you please tell me how you fixed it?
I downloaded everything correctly but Shao Kahn’s shakedown is only there I can’t actually choose him to fight .. shits pissing me off hope i didn’t pay $100 for nothing ..
Yeah, I just bought MK 11 premium edition today and didn’t get Shao Kahn DLC from it. Do I have to buy him separately…
Hi Rory I was confused myself about Shao Kahn not being unlocked the Kombat pack code does not have Shao Kahn on it there should be another code for Shao Kahn if you per-order MK11 other then that Call WB games tech support.
I preorder MK11 through Best Buy. When I went to pick it up, there was no unlock code for Shao khan. Am I missing something?
