How to Get Season of the Drifter Prime Sets in Destiny 2?

To get the Prime Sets in Destiny 2 Season of the Drifter, the first step is to get a Synthesizer. This is an item that you’ll get from The Drifter after completing your first Gambit Prime match as a contract. Pretty simple stuff. This item, which you can find in the inventory, is what will produce the Prime Sets, but we’re getting to that. The higher the value of the Synthesizer, the more materials, aka Synths, it’ll require. Upgrading the Synthesizer requires you to do a weekly bounty for The Drifter.

The next step is to farm for Synths. You get these by playing Gambit and performing different activities. For example, for the Invader synths, you have to kill Guardians in invasions, or collect motes for the Collector synths. You can also get seemingly random synths for completing Prime matches.

Once you have the Synths for the Prime Set you want, use the Synthesizer to create a mote. Now, dive into a Reckoning match and bank the mote as soon as you can. Different rarities has to be banked in a different location, so you might have to run around a bit until you find the one you need. Don’t worry, the game will let you know if you’re in the right place. Proceed with the match as normal. After the round is completed successfully, you’ll get your Prime Set piece. Rinse and repeat. If you lose the round, you’ll get your mote back, so keep trying.

Now, two things to mention before we wrap up. The first one is that you can get duplicates through this process. So, if you get something you already have, you’ll have to start over. The second thing is a ray of light shining through the grind: you can synthesize motes at any time. So, if you have what you need, you can craft more motes in the breaks between rounds. That way, you can roll the dice several times in one match.
