Mortal Kombat 11 First Gameplay Trailer is Violent, Gory Fun

Among the many trailers and other content NetherRealm Studios have presented when announcing MK11, the gameplay trailer was one of the more eye-catching things. It does a great job of showing the game in action. It shows some stuff that we’ve come to love since the reboot, just more polished and bloody. Plus, we get to see some new characters, plus old favorites and returning familiar faces ripping each other apart. What more does one need?

To say that I’m really excited about Mortal Kombat 11 is to truly undersell it. I’ll have serious problems waiting for a complete edition to come out, ’cause I ain’t spending no money on Kombat Packs. During the live event that introduced us to the new MK game, we truly got to see a lot of exciting stuff, including character customization, some fatalities, and so much more. I honestly can’t wait for MK11 to come out.

If you want to understand why, well, just watch the gameplay trailer below. It’s total carnage, and I love every bit of the over-the-top nonsense. Of course, even though this is apparently gameplay footage, it’s somewhat doctored and edited, so we do have to wait and see what it’s actually gonna look like. That said, I mean, look at it. Blood is flying, bones are cracking in X-Ray moves, fatalities are cutting people in half or impaling them on their own petrified blood. Baraka even just up and rips Raiden’s face clean off. We also get to see quick shots of the two new characters, Kronika and Geras, who wield the power of time itself.

Mortal Kombat 11 is coming out on April 23rd, 2019. If you want to get in on the action earlier than that, you’ll be able to do so on March 28th. That’s when the Mortal Kombat 11 beta is going to launch. To get in, though, you’ll have to preorder the game.
