How to Chop Tree in Pokemon Let’s Go?

To chop trees in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee, your Pokemon first has to learn that skill. To do so, you’ll have to find the captain of the S.S. Anna in Vermilion City (pictured above). That’s in Vermilion City Port (where you can also find the sailor suit), and he’s on the ship itself. We’ll get into the specifics of where exactly to find him below.

Anyway, when you find the captain and talk to him, you’ll learn that he’s sick, and he needs your help. In fact, he’s seasick; quite a situation for a ship captain. He needs you to help him by giving him a back rub. How this cures his seasickness, I have no idea, but hey, it works for him.

When you help him, he’ll teach your Pokemon to chop trees technique. You don’t have to do anything; the game will let you know that your Pokemon has learned a new skill.

Where to Find S.S. Anna Captain in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee?

To find the S.S. Anna Captain in Pokemon Let’s Go, you first have to get aboard the ship. As we’ve said above, you can find the ship in Vermilion City (you can also get an Alola Geodude in that city), in the port area.

When you get aboard the ship, go left, and down the hallway. Then, climb up the stairs to the upper deck. Go left again (or down, if you will), and you’ll be at another crossroads. Don’t go left and up the stairs, instead, go right and down the hallway.

When you reach the corner of the hallway, you’ll see that turns upwards. Follow that path all the way, and climb up the stairs at the right when you reach the end. This will lead you to the captain’s quarters. Now, just follow the instructions from the previous section to learn how to chop a tree in Pokemon Let’s Go.
