Stardew Valley Coming to Mobile in Late October, First on iOS
The creator of Stardew Valley has announced that the game is coming to mobile devices this October. The release date for the iOS version has already been revealed; the Android version is in the works, but doesn’t have a launch date just yet. Preorders for the iOS version are already up.
Who of us that have played Stardew Valley hasn’t thought to themselves: I just wish I could play this on my morning commute? I’m not even being sarcastic, I’m legitimately asking. Because, I know that I just don’t have enough time to apply myself to Stardew Valley as much as I’d like. I haven’t even tried out the multiplayer yet. Well, the creator of the game has us all covered. In a recent blog post on the Stardew Valley website, they’ve announced that they’re bringing Stardew Valley to mobile devices.
Stardew Valley is coming to iOS devices on October 24th. An Android version is in the works, so we’re hoping to hear more details about that soon. Oh, and preorders for the iOS version are already up, if you’re into that stuff. The mobile version of Stardew Valley will cost £7.99 / $7.99 / 8.99 €, but the announcement promises no in-app purchases. It will be the full version of the game; the only difference is that you’ll be controlling the game via touchscreen. You’ll be able to play “1.3 single player content,” meaning that you will have access to the likes of Night Market, but, unfortunately, no multiplayer.
Oh, and, last but not least, you’ll be able to transfer your save file from your computer to the iOS version via iTunes. However, make sure to make a backup save just in case, especially if you’re running mods on your PC. So, there you have it folks.
