City of Gold Quest - Where to Find Chest Location - Assassin's Creed Odyssey
City of Gold quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a quest that you might come across in the game. The AC Odyssey City of Gold quest just tells you to “Loot the Chest,” which isn’t much to go on. Fortunately, the chest is in Kephallonia, not too far away. The downside is that you will have to look for it in a weird place. That being the case, our AC Odyssey City of Gold chest location guide will show you where to find it.
Where to Find Chest in City of Gold Quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey?
To find the chest in the AC Odyssey City of Gold chest, you’ll have to go to Aggalaki Cave. Aggalaki Cave is a location on Kephallonia Island, in the west of the Mount Ainos region. The easiest way to get there is to go to the Lightning Zeus synchronization location, and go west. Aggalaki Cave is marked on the map as the animal paw, aka Kill the Alpha Animal, so you can use that to track the location.
Reaching the cave is only one part of the problem. Go into the cave, and kill the wolves inside. Then, climb the wall on the left of the cave. The best way is to hug the left wall from the entrance into the large cavern, and climb up. When you reach the top of that ledge, you have to find a crack in the wall that you have to squeeze through. Explore the new section of the cavern to find the City of Gold chest.
Incidentally, starting the City of Gold quest is almost kinda random. It hinges on finding two groups of soldiers fighting near the village of Kausos in the early game. After you kill them, loot the corpses, and you should get a letter triggering the quest and telling you to loot the chest. And, that’s about everything there is to it.
