Spider-Man Post Launch DLC Release Dates Revealed
Developers of the upcoming Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 have revealed some of the details about the DLC chapters the game will be getting. All three of them go under the name of The City That Never Sleeps, although each of them has a name of it’s own. We now know when the Spider-Man DLCs will come out and how much they’ll cost, and a little bit extra about the first chapter.
Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 is probably the most highly-anticipated superhero game since the Arkham series. And, with the launch date of the game coming at us really fast and soon, the developers have now released info on the DLC chapters that they have prepared down the pipeline. They’ve revealed the release dates of the chapters, how much they will cost, and even some details on what the first chapter will be about. All three chapters will be under the umbrella name of The City That Never Sleeps DLC, and, of course, you’ll be able to buy them all together or one at a time. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty.
First off, the release dates. The first chapter of The City That Never Sleeps DLC, called The Heist, is coming out on October 23rd; so, not that long after launch. The second chapter, Turf Wars, is coming out some time in November, and the last one, Silver Lining, should launch some time in December. The next thing I know you want to know is the price. If you decide to purchase all three chapters as a bundle, you’ll be able to buy them for $24.99. Buying every chapter separately will cost you $9.99 for each one. Lastly, if you purchase the Digital Deluxe edition of the game, you get the base game and all three chapters for $79.99 (plus some other stuff).
As for what the first chapter is going to be about (spoilers incoming), the announcement on PlayStation Blog tells us it’s going to revolve around Black Cat, or Felicia Hardy. Apparently, she’ll be leaving clues for you to find. In The Heist, she actually shows up. You can expect ” new missions and challenges, as well as a brand new faction of enemies and three additional suits to unlock,” so that sounds pretty enticing. As for the base game, Spider-Man is coming out on September 7th, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
