Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Will Have Two Betas, Launch Dates Revealed

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is going to have not one, but two betas. The first one will be all about the general Multiplayer and Blackout mode. The second one will be all about the Battle Royale mode. The first beta is going to take place in August, but there are several different launch dates, depending on your platform of choice. Whatever you’ll be playing on, it’ll be somewhere from early-to-mid August.

So, let’s go over the launch dates of the first beta, for Blackout and Multiplayer. Pay attention now, because things get complicated. First, there’s the PlayStation 4 exclusive beta, which will last from August 3rd to August 6th. Then, from August 10th to August 13th, when it’ll be open for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On PC, the Beta Early Access is going to start on August 10th, while the Open Beta will last from August 11th to August 13th. Note that the PC Beta will only be available via Blizzard’s Battle.Net.

As for the second beta, there are no exact launch dates just yet. We do, however, know that it will start some time in September. When it comes out, you’ll be able to get the first taste of the Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 4. In case you’re not already playing Fortnite or PUBG, you know. Which, I think, is a relatively small chance. But, hey, if you’ve been craving to play Battle Royale in COD, you’re only two months away.
