The April free games for owners of PlayStation Plus has been announced on the PlayStation Blog. The games in March included Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank, so it’s a pretty tough act to follow. And, well, the offer for April isn’t really that eye-catching. It’s not exactly bad; it’s just that March was so much more impressive. Especially considering that the likes of God of War are coming out this month. That said, let’s go over what PS Plus subscribers can look forward to in April 2018.

PlayStation 4 players can pick up Mad Max and TrackMania Turbo. Mad Max, while an excellent premise, is just kinda bland when it comes to almost every aspect. Still, if you’re a huge fan of the Mad Max universe (especially Fury Road), you might get some enjoyment out of it. TrackMania, on the other hand, is a fast-paced arcade racing game. There are 200 pre-built tracks, and you can build your own custom tracks. Two vastly different games, to be sure, other than the insane vehicles.

Now for the PlayStation 3. Here, we have In Space We Brawl (which is also a Cross Buy with PS4) and Toy Home. In Space We Brawl is a couch twin-stick shooter for up to four players in local mutiplayer. Toy Home is just a racing game with toys. Lastly, on the PS Vita, there’s 99 Vidas, a side-scrolling bear ’em up, and Q*bert Rebooted, which is, well, good old Q*bert. Both of these games are Cross Buy with both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
