God of War Limited Edition PS4 Pro Bundle Revealed

The new and long-awaited God of War game launches next month. Since it’s one of Sony’s tentpole franchises, it only makes sense that they’ll give it a little more love than other games. After all, this is the grand return of Kratos after many years of absence. So, to celebrate, Sony has unveiled a limited edition God of War PS4 Pro bundle. Basically, it’s a silver PS4 adorned with a stylized Leviathan Ax skill tree, and different runes. The controller is similarly decked out with the Huldra Brothers brand and a subtle logo on the touchpad, as you can see in the picture above.

Of course, the console itself is not the only thing you’ll get in the bundle. You’ll also get a physical copy of the game, and deluxe digital content. Presumably, the content in question are the bonuses you get in the Digital Deluxe Edition. The PlayStation Blog post about the God of War PS4 Pro bundle also cites the price. The bundle will be available in the US and Canada for $400 USD / $500 CAD. And, if you want to preorder the bundle, you can do so on the PlayStation website. The bundle will come out on April 20th, along with the game itself.

According to the post, God of War on the PS4 Pro will output dynamic 4K resolution on 4K TVs, “achieved through a 2160p checkerboard.” On 1080p HDTVs, you’ll also get increased image clarity through the built-in supersampling technique. And, across all PS4s, the game will feature “HDR lighting and a wide color gamut for those with TVs that support HDR.”
