Despite that this being its launch week, Metal Gear Survive isn’t doing too well, at least, as far as the UK sales chart goes. Konami’s first real post-Kojima effort has debuted in sixth place. That’s not exactly ideal for a franchise the size of Metal Gear, even if we all knew Survive was going to be more of an off-shoot that anything else. Then again, considering the press that has been following it, including selling save slots for $10, it’s not much of a surprise.

On the other hand, FIFA 18 is doing pretty dang well. It’s now in its second consecutive week in the first place of the UK sales chart, according to Chart-Track. Not only that, but it’s the games sixth week in first place total. So, yeah, those are some pretty good numbers. True, this chart does’t take digital sales into account, only sales of physical copies. That being said, these are still impressive figures.

As for the rest of the games in the top ten, many of them are the usual suspects. In second place is the indestructible GTA V, which is always somewhere in the top ten. Then, in third place, there’s Call of Duty: WWII. Lower on the list, we have Monster Hunter World, EA Sports UFC 3, and the aforementioned Metal Gear Survive, and Shadow of the Colossus. The bottom three in the top ten are Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, and Assassin’s Creed Origins.
