Kerbal Space Program Making History Expansion Release Date Revealed

Fans of Kerbal Space Program, do we have some good news for you. After the game exited Early Access in 2015, and after Take-Two bought it last year, the first expansion for the game finally has a release date. The expansion, going by the name of Making History Expansion, will come out on Tuesday, March 13th. According to the announcement on Kerbal Space Program blog, the expansion has been in the making for over a year, and it’s finally ready to see the light of day. The Making History expansion will be free for all players that have purchased Kerbal Space Program before April 2013. Those that hopped on the bandwagon later will have to shell out $14.99 for the expansion.

The first, major content update this expansion is adding to Kerbal Space Program is the Mission Builder. This will give you the tools to “create and share your own scenarios with other players.” It will let you customize everything in the mission. This includes “launches, landings, rescues, malfunctions, explosions, repairs, and much more.” You can set your own victory conditions, place obstacles, and so on and so forth.

Another large chunk of content you’ll get is the History Pack. This pack contains a number of premade missions, inspired by “historical moments in space exploration.” In the History Pack, you can go out on spacewalks, perform crash landings, and in general recreate pivotal moments from our very own history of space exploration. As a cherry on top, there’s also “a bunch of new parts and astronaut suits inspired by the Space Race.” What more could you ask for?
