AC Origins DLC Release Dates & Details Revealed
Ubisoft have revealed the release dates for two upcoming pieces of DLC for Assassin’s Creed Origins. They’re both story-based, and will add new quests, items and outfits. The Hidden Ones is going to be released on January 23rd, and it’s going to cost $10. The Curse of The Pharaohs will launch on March 6th, and it’s going to be sold for $20. If you’ve bought the season pass, you won’t have to pay for either.
The Hidden Ones is going to be a separate story from the base game. It’ll take place four years later, and will portray the Brotherhood’s fight with the invading Romans in a new region. The new map is called Sinai, and the new level cap is at level 45. Apart from the new quests and story, the DLC will add four legendary weapons, two mounts, one outfit, several weapons and two new upgrade levels for crafted gear.
The Curse of The Pharaohs is going to be set in Thebes, where you’ll have to fight some resurrected pharaohs. It’s a curse, as the name clearly states, and there’s going to be a bunch of beasties and other supernatural occurences. It will take place in Thebes, and will raise the level cap to 55. You can expect more than one new outfit, and a bunch of weapons with classic Egyptian motifs.
The press release also mentions Discovery Tour, a.k.a. Museum Mode. As you may already know, it’s basically the entire game but without any of the fighting, missions, crafting, gear and other boring parts. Just you and ancient Egypt. You will be able to either roam around at your own pace, or take part in tours with historians as guides. Best of all, it’s going to be a free update for the game. Discovery Tour is going to be released on February 20th.
