Zelda BoTW Master Cycle Zero - How to Get Motorcycle

Master Cycle Zero is a special mount in Zelda Breath of The Wild. It’s actually a motorcycle, a piece of ancient technology Link can use to ride across Hyrule. You’ll have to get the Champions’ Ballad DLC if you want it, but you’ll also need to complete a set of challenges before you’re allowed to ride into the sunset. Since many players are eager to get their hands on the Hylian hog, we’ve decided to write a guide on how to get Master Cycle Zero in Zelda BoTW.

How to get Master Cycle Zero

You’ll fist need to complete all four Divine Beast quests. Once that is done, princess Zelda will telepathically speak to you, beckoning you to return to the first shrine you visited. Go back to the Shrine of Resurrection in the Great Plateau. Slot your Shekikah Slate in the slot, and you’ll get an impressive piece of weaponry.

It’s called the One-Hit Obliterator, and it obliterates in one hit. Sadly, it also makes you super-brittle – you’ll have a quarter of a heart, with no way to replenish it. This means you’ll kill anything with one shot, but you’ll also be killed with one shot.

Once you’ve got the weapons, four new shrines will appear on your map. They’ll be automatically marked on the map with glowing dots. There’s a catch here, though – you won’t be able to enter a shrine before you clear out an enemy camp that rests upon it. Once you do, the shrine’s entrance will appear. The shrine’s challenge will also revolve around the dangers of being one-shot, so be careful.

Once you’ve cleared all four shrines, you can move onto the second part of the challenge. You may have spotted Kass lounging near a strange monument at several places across the map. Talking to him at each of these will start a series of trials, each consisting of finding and completing three shrines. They are:

When you’ve completed each of these, you will unlock the Final Trial. It’s a particularly difficult endeavor, located at the Shrine of Resurrection. When you reach the end of it, you’ll have to fight Monk Maz Koshia. When you’ve defeated him, you’ll finally receive the Master Cycle Zero, your very own motorcycle.

The Shrine of Resurrection is where Link awoke at the very beginning of the game. It’s in the Great Plateau region. Use the shrine’s travel gate to get there quickly from anywhere.

I pretty sure I killed all the monsters (one shot quest champions ballet)in the camp nearest to the shrine of ressurection but no shrine is there a hidden guy I’ve searched a lot, thanks.

It’s real. You need the dlc to realize it. It will be a task, a challenge even, especially in master mode.
It does need fuel – but fuel is in the form of apples or meat, or other items you’ve got handy.

I found that once I used the port to a shrine in the city of the last divine beast that I defeated of the four Zelda spoke to me again it was pure accident that I used the port to go to the town too. Let me know if this works to get the dlc quests going for you too

  20. J
    Joe

I purchased and dowloaded the expansion pass, after I had freed all four beast, beat Gannon and freed Zelda. My question is, it says you have to hear zelda’s voice before going to to resurrection shine. I cannot return back to the Devin Beast, so how do I get to the point where I will hear her voice telling me to return? Because just going back there it does not give you the option to enter the shine.

      ZeldaGeek20

Once you purchase the DLC, just load your last save and will get all the add ons pop up in gameplay. Or start a new round. I’ve played through 3x and am trying to 100% this time with DLC.

It’s in normal and hard mode

  23. S
    Susan Nicholas

The DLC is definately worth buying. You get more than just this challenge. This challenge is really difficult and frustrating so my advice would be to do it as soon as you feel ready and practice your dodging and flurry attacks ciz you will need it.

  24. V
    Voltren Xytech

after thinking this will be easy (after reading the comments on here) i can vouch to say, unless you can perfect dodge every attack without fail, this is the single hardest quest in the entire game, it is in no way “easy” as so many people say, so if your looking for a bike and you cant perfect kill silver lynels/moblins/bokoblin/lizals, your not going to complete this at all

    1. Z
      Ziro

Ty. I still have yet to learn an effective way to dodge. I’m slow with timing. I managed to rush kill a blue lionel. But that was with pausing and chowing food.

      Do you have to use the 1 hit to get the bike or just stay normal? Lionel’s and guardians alike terrify me. @n@;

      1. C
        Carter

If you have ancient arrows you should be able to defeat the guardians but yes lionels are hard to kill and there everywhere!!!

        1. I
I made my account for this

you can use ancient arrows against the lionels too uknow

        2. I
          Iduna

Of you have ancient arrows they will kik labels imediantly

          1. S

  25. P
    Pooty McToot

I got all the DLC and beat all 4 divine beasts nothing happened. Went back to shrine of ressurection, ran up to all the sheeky slate dilly bops, nothing. Went to all 4 shrines on the great plateau, nothing. Went and killed gannon, did it all over, nothing. What am I I doing wrong?

    1. C
      CNorthington

The four Divine Beasts are required for the main story line, but also for the DLC. There are four trials to complete from the Champions, however that is after completing the Divine Beasts. The trials are after the Divine Beasts.

    2. C
      Carter Madeiros

You have to complete all the champions songs and the champions ballad first. Or is that after???

    3. G
      gabe

you have to go to the shrine of reserection and pick up the one hit sword then you are placed in the trail to defeat all the enemys then do the special shrines, after that there should be 4 glowy dots on your map you have to complete all shrines of those pillers(locations of the corse then when you complete etch corse you get a shrine you have to do that for all of them)

  26. Can someone tell me what to do I am almost done with daruks one and non of the other ones are done to me please help

    1. M
      Michael Hoyos

You should do miphas one first so you can heal during the fire blight Ganon fight

      Amy pilkington

Do you have to get the dlc to get the motorcycle cause I’m not sure is it a waste of twenty bucks or not

  30. E
    Edgar

It is definitely worth the 20 pounds. You get a lot of new shrines, several new armour pieces, about ten new side quests and obviously the master cycle zero

  31. K
    Kelly?

    Help me
Can you tell me what comes with dlc I don’t know if it’s worth 20 bucks
    Thanks…?????

    1. A
      anon

It comes with a ton more clothing and quests. It also comes with a new power (mastercycle zero) and new horse armor. The dlc also advances the story in-between the four champions.

  32. L
    Landon Edwards-Scoville

I don’t have the dlc yet do you guys think it’s worth the money or time?

    1. A
      Abs_trac

It’s $20 well spent in my opinion, it’s added a ton of hours to my 18:00 complete run of the base game. There is a lot of cool cutscenes and character developements.

      1. C
        Carter Madeiros

        Only 18 hours??? I have 150!!!

        1. I
          I have around 200

          234

          1. K
            Kevin Gallagher

I’ve got 255+ and I’m only halfway through the champions ballad. Granted I did finish most side quests and koroks.

        2. P
          pacejoseph

It’s about a dollar an hour. That is not a bad rate of return, but compared to 150 for $60, I guess you have a good point. I say get it. It’s the best game in the world, or top ten, easily. And that is more hours than all of Link’s Awakening. Have fun.

      2. L
        linky_boi

Uhh it’s the longest Zelda game and it’s 60 hours of gameplay

      3. C
        Chloe Payne

        I have 320 hours I think ?

      4. M
        Max

I have played over 200 hours on botw.

  33. J
    Jason

Do you ever get more hearts than a quarter can you use the spirit orbs? Do yo have to do it?

    1. C
      Chad

You only get a quarter for the small part with the one hit weapon, but it recharges in maybe 10 seconds without use and that’s nice. You can’t use the orbs but they decrease recharge speed on the four abilities from champions. You get 12 orbs that you CAN use by fully doing this quest. It’s dlc, so doing it is 100% optional, but that’s a waste of 20 bucks :^)

      1. W
        Will

You do not have to do this task, but you are able to save as you go for most of it. When my heart was at a quarter I saved after I beat each monster. I also got as high as I could and dropped bombs whenever possible to lower the threat when I went in. You may skip this, but I am glad I didn’t.

  34. T
    Tara

Honestly, it’s an easy quest, but it takes a very long time to get through everything. I started it yesterday and only got Urbosa’s Fury plus.

    1. T
      Tara is Op

Watch out Tara is a badass and her **** is bigger then all your *****!

        hmmmmmmmm

im only confused why the end wont work. ive done all the shrine things, ive put in the keylock thing that turns but i let it rest for an hour doing that, and it still wont open

    2. M
      Marty

How you gonna say it’s easy when you didn’t even finish it yet?

  35. C
    Calvin

So you don’t have to do the extended story of the champions to get the bike? Just those song trials to unlock this dungeon?

    1. C
      Chad

You have to do this full dlc, and it’s LONG, but well worth the adventure

    2. C
      Calvin McKee

Kinda, but it’s hard to do the enemy camps

    3. D
      DragonR3APER
