Gaming Subscription Service Utomik Partners with Warner Bros. Games
Warner Bros. Games has teamed up with the Utomik PC gaming subscription service to bring a selection of their games to the new platform. The first three games are already live: Arkham Asylum, Lego Batman: The Videogame, and The Lego Movie Videogame. Naturally, there will be more coming in the future, such as Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition and more Lego games. Warner Bros. joins publishers such as SEGA and Ubisoft on Utomik.
Those of you that use the Utomik subscription service can look forward to playing Warner Bros. games. Yes, Utomik has partnered up with good old WB to bring you some of their games. Right now, the list is pretty short, coming down to Batman and Lego. The three WB games you can currently play are The Lego Movie Videogame, Lego Batman: The Videogame, and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
That’s just the beginning, of course; there’s more Lego and Batman that will be coming down the pipeline. You can look forward to Lego Batman 2 DC Super Heroes, Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4, and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition in the coming months.
If you haven’t heard of Utomik, let’s get you up to speed. They are a relatively new gaming subscription service that offers PC games for a fixed monthly fee. They offer a library of some 650+ hand-picked games and counting. They’re pretty proud of having more games and publishers than Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Now. Their main selling point seems to be the “smart download tech”, which kinda works like Spotify. They basically allow you to start playing the game while it’s still loading in the background as you play. I personally don’t use this service, so can’t attest to its quality. If you’re interested, you can learn more about them on the Utomik website.
