The starfighter space battles in Star Wars Battlefront 2 are arguably the best part in the game. Whoever says that they never wanted to take part in a Star Wars dogfight is lying. That being said, though, these sections aren’t without their little issues. Shocking, I know. Flying the ships can get a bit finicky, and there is a bit of a learning curve. So, here’s some advice on how to improve your performance in space battles in Star Wars Battlefront 2.

There’s several things you can do / keep in mind in order to optimize your starfighter experience. First off, make sure to play around with the controls. Take your time and adjust the sensitivity and other settings until they’re just to your liking. And, while you’re at it, you might want to get rid of one feature entirely. We’re talking about the one that snaps you in line with the horizon. This can be a big pain in certain sections, and it limits your mobility unnecessarily.

Another thing you should do is familiarize yourself with your ship’s class. Not all starfighters act the same. For example, light and nimble ships do much better in dogfights than, say, bombers. Bombers, while lousy in dogfights, work really good for charging straight into the enemy. So, it’s important to figure out how different starfighters work for you. Same goes for flying in first or third person. The choice between the two really comes down to your preferences and the task at hand.
