Fertile Lands papyrus puzzle in Assassin’s Creed Origins starts in the Lake Mareotis zone. This is a level 6-8 area you’ll reach fairly early on in the game, as the main mission leads here. Hypostyle Hall Papyrus Puzzle Location

Hypostyle Hall is located in the southern part of Lake Mareotis, in the area around the Temple of Sekhmet in Yamu. This is the same temple the main mission takes you to at the start, and probably the first papyrus you’ll come in contact with. It is hard not to notice all the notifications that point towards it.

Hypostyle Hall papyrus puzzle is found on the second floor of the temple. It’s directly above the room with the pool. Use the large pillars to get up to the second floor, and find a table with a lot of scrolls. One of them is the Fertile Lands script. Grab it and head outside. You don’t have to read the description right away, as you can access it from your inventory at any time.

Fertile Lands Riddle Solution

Description: A few hundred meters north west of the Temple of Sekhmet in Yamu, which resides by Lake Mareotis, there is a great place to go for a date. Full of palm trees, and surrounded by desert, one rock fence was built and closed off with no exit. Find me there.

The first part of the riddle is pretty clear. Just follow the main road north from Hypostyle Hall and turn west at the first crossroad. At the end of this side road, you’ll eventually reach a small oasis, filled with many palm trees. This type of oasis could be found all over ancient Egypt, wherever there was a drop of water. It is nice to see the one in the game faithfully depict what they looked like in real life.

The rock fence mentioned in the riddle is the one just next to the two distinguishing markings of this area – the ancient irrigation pump, and a couple of living quarters, located in the northeastern part of the oasis. Hop over the fence, approach the palm tree, and get your loot.
