Assassin's Creed Origins Cinematic Launch Trailer Revealed
Ubisoft has released a new cinematic launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins. The video shows many snippets of various events from the game, including the exploits of Bayek being immortalized in Ancient Egyptian art. The narration of the video hints at the impact that Bayek’s actions will have through history.
With the launch of Assassin’s Creed Origins drawing closer and closer, the hype train is only gathering speed. Fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of the newest installment in the long-running franchise. To add more fuel on the flames, Ubisoft recently released a cinematic launch trailer for AC Origins. The footage in the trailer is actual in-game stuff, captured in 4K.
The first half of the video features narration, which talks vaguely about the events of the game and the historical repercussions they will have. While that’s going on, we get to see some truly impressive-looking footage of the environment, and even some of the action, including slaying a Roman soldier, sneaking around for a stealth kill, and even fighting an armored elephant. The legend of the assassin “is spreading”, as the voiceover says, which we also get to see in the ancient Egyptian art in various buildings. These paintings detail some of the moments from Bayek’s life, it seems. He “fights without being seen, goes where the gods forbid.” Bayek kills the wicked and the corrupt, and his actions will, indeed, “change the course of history.”
The trailer then shows us a brief moment of Bayek conversing with his allies. He tells them (and us) that their brotherhood is the only hope for the people to keep their free will. Presumably, he’s talking about the Romans, who have invaded and conquered Egypt. After that, we transition into a montage of various moments from the game, with the music welling up. And, of course, we get quotes from various outlets praising AC Origins. You can check out the video in its entirety below.
