Assassin's Creed Origins PC Requirements Revealed by Ubisoft
Ubisoft has revealed the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Assassin’s Creed Origins. The minimum requirements are the same as they were in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, so you won’t have to worry too much about upgrading your setup. If you want to play the game on the max specs, though, that’s a different story.
The launch of Assassin’s Creed Origins is mere days away. Fans are probably already adjusting their schedules for the weekend and on. Since the launch is on the horizon, Ubisoft has decided to reveal the minimum and recommended PC specs for the game. It seems that Ubi has been paying special attention to the PC version this time around. According to coordinating producer Jose Araiza (via Gamespot), Ubisoft Montreal has been working on this version parallel with all the others, with help from Ubisoft Kiev. This is the mindset they’ve held during designing of game features. In his words: “This approach was adopted while the game features were being designed, making PC and mouse-and-keyboard controls a full part of the equation from the get-go.”
So, what does your machine need to have in order to run the game? To run the minimum system requirements, you’ll need 6 GB of RAM, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD R9 270 video card (2048 MB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 at least), and an Intel Core i5-2400s @ 2.5 GHz or AMD FX-6350 @ 3.9 GHz (or whatever equivalent you might have). Your video presets will have to be set to lowest, and you’ll get 720p. For recommended system requirements, you’ll need a more powerful machine. Nothing too fancy, though. We’re talking 8 GB of RAM, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or AMD R9 280X video card (3GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 and up), and a Intel Core i7- 3770 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz processor. Interestingly, according to Araiza, the minimum requirements are the same as they were in Syndicate. So, if your machine could run that game, it’ll run Assassin’s Creed Origins.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is coming out on Friday, October 27th. You can grab it on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
