PS Plus October 2017 Free Games Include Metal Gear Solid V
The list of free games with PS Plus for October 2017 has been revealed. As usual, there will be games for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and the PS Vita. There are two games per console; although, the Vita games are cross-buy with the PS4 and PS3. It’s gonna be a pretty cool month, since the free games will include Metal Gear Solid V and Amnesia: Collection.
Sony has released the list of free games that PS Plus subscribers will be able to pick up in October. The selection is pretty good, especially if you own a PlayStation 4. The six games will be available starting October 5th, and will stick around until November 2nd.
Anyway, PlayStation 4 owners, you’ll be able to get Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain for free this October. This game needs no introduction. Absolutely everybody loved this game; it’s a critical darling, and the gaming community adores it. It’s the last game Hideo Kojima worked on before leaving Konami. So, if you haven’t jumped on that train yet, you’ll be able to do so for free (and if you have problems with it, check out our list of Metal Gear Solid V guides). The second game that’s for PlayStation 4 only is, in fact, two games + an expansion. It’s the now-classic horror game by Frictional Games, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, the 2011 expansion Justine, and the 2013 sequel developed by The Chinese Room, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. Do yourself a favor and give this game a shot, if you haven’t already.
As for PlayStation 3 games, subscribers will be able to grab Monster Jam Battlegrounds, a monster truck game (which is only worth getting for free, apparently) and Hustle Kings, a pool game. For the PS Vita, you can get Hue, a pretty interesting puzzle platformer, and Sky Force Anniversary, an old-school shoot-em-up. Both games are cross-buy with the PS4, and you can play Sky Force on the PS3, as well.
